The ONEXPLAYER G1 is a mini-laptop with an 8.8 inch, 2560 x 1600 pixel, 144 Hz display and a small RGB backlit keyboard that's just large enough for touch typing. But it's also a handheld gaming PC – that keyboard is removable. Lift it away from the computer and you'll find a set of built-in game controllers, along with a capacitive touch keyboard for thumb typing at the bottom of the screen.
First unveiled last year, the ONEXPLAYER G1 is expected to begin shipping in March, 2025 and One Netbook is taking pre-orders now through an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign that launched on January 9, 2025.
While the company had originally promised the little computer would be powered by an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 Strix Point processor, it turns out it's actually available with up to that processor.
One Netbook is offering five pricing/configuration options during crowdfunding:
These are all pretty good chips for handheld gaming PCs, at least on paper (we haven't seen any real-world testing for handhelds with Arrow Lake chips yet, but One Netbook says the Core Ultra 7 255H actually scores higher than the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 in an unspecified 3DMark test).

One Netbook says all models also have LPDDR5x-7500 memory, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are some small differences between the memory speeds for models with AMD or Intel chips.
Other features include a 2MP IR webcam with support for Windows Hello-compatible face recognition (something you won't find on most gaming handhelds), as well as a fingerprint reader. The game controllers have hall sensor joysticks and triggers and the system also has a linear motor for vibration, a gyroscope for motion sensing, support for WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, and dual speakers.
Ports include:
The ONEXPLAYER G1 has an aluminum alloy body with an RGB illumination for a small triangle on the lid and beneath the joysticks. The computer measures 208 x 146.5 x 32mm (8.2″ x 5.8″ x 1.3″) and weighs 880 grams (1.94 pounds) without the keyboard or 1,020 grams (2.25 pounds) with the keyboard in place.
The removable keyboard connects to the system with magnets, but it can also be used as a Bluetooth keyboard when removed from the PC. It has a 150 mAh battery and allows you to interact with the ONEXPLAYER G1 using a keyboard and mouse even when it's not positioned just below the screen.
