The Khadas Mind is a modular computing platform that debuted in 2023 with the launch of a tiny computer sporting an Intel Raptor Lake processor and support for add-ons including a basic docking station and external graphics dock. Last year the company launched a Khadas Mind 2 with an Intel Lunar Lake chip.
Now Khadas is introducing a third model at CES 2025, as well as showing off a long-promised accessory. The Khadas Mind 2S is a mini PC with an Intel Arrow Lake processor, while the Khadas Mind xPlay is a portable screen that lets you use the Mind like a laptop or tablet.
From the outside, the Khadas Mind 2S looks virtually identical to existing models. But under the hood it's powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 255H processor based on Arrow Lake architecture, while the Khadas Mind 2 has a Core Ultra 7 258V Lunar Lake chip.
Khadas says the Arrow Lake model should bring a significant boost in single-core and multi-core CPU performance, but if you value AI performance you should probably opt for the Khadas Mind 2 since the Lunar Lake processor has an integrated NPU powerful enough to meet Microsoft's minimum specifications for Copilot+ PCs.

But in order to remain compatible with modular add-ons designed for earlier models, the new model should use the same Mind Link connector for a PCIe connection to compatible docks and accessories.
The new model will also most likely have a nearly identical size (so it should be around 146 x 105 x 20mm (5.75″ x 4.13″ x 0.79″). And it will most likely have the same 5.55 Wh built-in battery that will provide just enough power allow you to move the PC from one location to another or change between docks without rebooting.
Speaking of the Mind Link interface, Khadas says it "will soon be open-sourced," allowing independent developers to create their own expansion modules. That's could make this modular mini PC a whole lot more useful, since there are currently only two modular add-ons available from the Khadas Shop:
Khadas is also showing off a Mind xPlay portable display at CES. Attach a Khadas Mind, Mind 2, or Mind 2S to the back and you've got a portable all-in-one desktop computer that can also be used sort of like a laptop if you pair it with a keyboard.
There's no word on what kind of display specifications the Mind xPlay has, how much it will cost, or when it will be available for purchase. But it appears to have a built-in kickstand, a Mind Link connector on the back, and a some sort of keyboard connector on the bottom.
