The Lenovo Yoga Pad Pro AI is an Android tablet with a 12.7 inch, 2944 x 1840 pixel, 144 Hz display featuring up to 900 nits peak brightness, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, and up to 16GB of LPDDR5x memory and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
It's unclear if or when this model will be available in North America or Europe, but customers in China can order one for 4799 CNY (about $660).
While that's a rather high price tag for an Android tablet, this thing has the kind of specs that are clearly meant to compete with premium models like the Samsung Galaxy Tab S series or Apple's iPads.
In addition to Qualcomm's 2023 flagship mobile processor and support for plenty of memory and storage, the tablet has six speakers with Harman Kardon audio, a 10,200 mAh battery, and 68W fast charging support. The tablet also comes with a folio keyboard case and an active pen that supports up to 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity.
The tablet gets its name from a set of AI features that Lenovo has implemented in its Chinese tablet with support for features like an AI personal assistant that can summarize documents, respond to natural language voice controls, generate images, and summarized documents or translating languages. There's also a voice cloning feature, and Lenovo seems to have its own version of Google's Circle to Search feature.
But Lenovo also plans to offer a lower-cost version of the Yoga Pad Pro that isn't being marketed as an AI tablet. That model features 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage and ships without the keyboard or pen. But it's a more affordable device with a 3299 CNY (about $450) price tag.
