A year after launching the Steam Deck OLED, Valve has announced plans to offer a new limited edition model that has a white body rather than the usual black. The new Steam Deck OLED: Limited Edition White will go on sale November 18, 2024 at 6:00 PM Eastern and it will be available in all markets where the Steam Deck is sold.
Prices may vary by market, but in the US the new model will sell for $679.
Functionally, the new Limited Edition model is identical to the black Steam Deck OLED with a 1TB SSD, but this is the first time Valve has offered a Steam Deck handheld gaming PC in white since the company launched the original Steam Deck in 2022.
The Steam Deck OLED: Limited Edition White also comes with a white carrying case and white microfiber cleaning cloth.
As the name suggests, the new Steam Deck will only be available in limited quantities: once it's sold out there won't be any more made.
Valve isn't saying exactly how many units it will offer, but the company is limiting purchases: customers will only be able to buy one white Steam Deck per Steam account and you can only buy one if you've bought something from Steam before November 2024 and have an account that's in good standing.
