OnePlus 13R Expected to Feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and Larger Battery Compared to OnePlus 13

OnePlus is set to broaden its flagship range with the OnePlus 13 series. This model is rumored to incorporate enhanced camera features, improved battery performance, and various upgraded specifications.  

Anticipated Specifications for OnePlus 13R  
The OnePlus 13R is projected to be launched in early 2025 and may be a rebranded version of the upcoming OnePlus Ace 5.  

A tipster on Weibo, known as Digital Chat Station, has disclosed key specifications for the forthcoming OnePlus Ace 5. The device is expected to come equipped with a 6.78-inch BOE X2 8T LTPO 2D display featuring a 1.5K resolution. It is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, with options of up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. Furthermore, the OnePlus Ace 5 is rumored to include a triple rear camera configuration, featuring a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP secondary sensor, and a 2MP tertiary sensor, in addition to a 16MP front camera for selfies.  

Recent rumors suggest that the OnePlus 13R will be equipped with a 6,200mAh battery, which is slightly larger than the 6,000mAh battery found in the OnePlus 13. Both devices are expected to support 100W fast charging, similar to the OnePlus 12R. The OnePlus 13R will also feature an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, while it is anticipated that the OnePlus 13 will offer both IP68 and IP69 ratings for added durability.  

For those unfamiliar, OnePlus is preparing to launch the OnePlus 13 in India shortly after its introduction in China on October 31. The variant released in China includes a 6.82-inch BOE X2 OLED display with a 1440p resolution, a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. It also boasts an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and holds an IP69 rating for water and dust resistance.
