More than a month after releasing the source code for Android 15, Google is beginning to roll out the latest version of its mobile operating system to Pixel phones and tablets. But many of the new features Google is highlighting aren't necessarily coming to all Android phones. They're Pixel-specific apps and services.

Android 15 is now rolling out to recent Pixel devices. Among other things, it brings a Theft Detection Lock feature, a new Private space that hides apps from view unless unlocked, and foldable/tablet enhancements.

In addition to Android 15, Google is rolling out a Feature Drop for Pixel devices. Among other things, there's support for hands-free Gemini on Pixel Buds, Audio Magic Eraser for videos, underwater photography mode, pollen tracking in the Weather app, and a Pixel 8 Pro temperature sensor update that lets you select items to measure using a camera viewfinder.

Xbox Cloud Gaming will let you stream your own games in November [The Verge]

Microsoft plans to let users purchase Xbox games from the Xbox mobile app for Android soon. It looks like the company may also let gamers stream Xbox games they already own and not just Game Pass titles.

Use an External GPU on Raspberry Pi 5 for 4K Gaming [Jeff Geerling]

You have to jump through a LOT of hoops to do it, but now you can connect an external graphics card to a Raspberry Pi 5 to enable 4K gaming at decent frame rates. There are still some bugs, and only some older AMD GPUs work.

New Nvidia Shield TV software update rolls out with several bug fixes to all models [AFTVNews]

NVIDIA just rolled out an updated for its Shield TV media streamers. It's mostly a bug fix release, and it's the first update in over a year. But it applies to models as old as the 2015 Shield TV, meaning it's still supported 9 years later.

RG CubeXX: Anbernic confirms full specs of new 1:1 retro gaming handheld [NotebookCheck]

This upcoming handheld looks virtually identical to the RG Cube and has the same 3.95 inch, 720 x 720 pixel display. But it has a slower processor, significantly less memory, and will most likely sell for less than half the price of the $160 RG Cube.
