Get a FREE Google Pixel Tablet

Google is running an iPad trade-in program for Pixel tablets. The search giant is effectively giving away its newly released Pixel tablets.

Google launched the Pixel tablet this week. Google seems to be focusing on affordability this time around. Therefore, the company offers a tablet charging and speaker station as an optional accessory.

Multiple generations of Apple iPads are eligible for the Google Pixel Tablet trade-in program. Google seems willing to give away new Pixel tablets in exchange for a working iPad.

Google offers discounts of up to $450. However, this amount only applies to iPad Pro (6th generation). Google Store in the US has published a product listing for Pixel tablets.

"With a qualified trade-in, he can get a Pixel tablet (128GB) for just $0." Starts at 7:00 AM PT on May 7, 2024 and ends at 11:59 PM PT on May 20, 2024. Trade-in value varies based on condition, year, and configuration of eligible device and is subject to change upon inspection. Maximum trade-in value for typical trade-in devices: $450 for iPad Pro (6th generation). ”

Specifically, Google is reportedly offering a $399 “trade-in value increase” for iPad Air (2nd, 4th, and 5th generation). generation) and iPad (7th, 8th, 9th generation). Google can even be very lenient and forgiving about the conditions and generations of iPads it accepts.

Apparently, the only prerequisite to participate in the trade-in program is a working iPad Air, iPad, or iPad Pro tablet. So, as some social media users have suggested, it might be possible to pick up a working old iPad tablet cheaply on an online marketplace and send it to Google.

The 128GB version of the Google Pixel Tablet without dock costs $399, and the 256GB version costs $499. Of course, these prices are significantly lower than the Apple iPad.

Google Pixel Tablet features a 10.95-inch tablet with 1600 x 2560 resolution. Google has integrated an LCD touchscreen into its tablets. The tablet is powered by a Tensor G2 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM.

The

tablet has a 7,020 mAh battery and supports 15W wired charging. There is an 8 MP front camera.

These specs are certainly not eye-catching. However, the Pixel Table will be the first to receive Android 15. Additionally, if you're an Apple iPad owner who uses your device a lot, you might not be able to find a better deal than getting a brand new tablet in exchange for a working device.

The discount Google is offering on his Pixel tablet seems to indicate that the trade-in program is a promotion in disguise. Google may be trying to lure people away from Apple's walled garden and into its own. The trade-in program appears to be limited to the US for now, but Google may expand it to other regions where Pixel tablets are officially available.
