Pixel 8a Leaks Again, This Time for Carrier

The Google Pixel 8a has been leaked on the US Cellular website, showcasing a design with noticeable bezels, a centered display camera hole, and physical keys on the right side. It will be available in four color options: green (Mint), white (Porcelain), black (Obsidian), and blue (Bay). The phone is set to launch during Google I/O 2024 in May, featuring the Google Tensor G3 processor and a 6.1-inch AMOLED display.




Rumors surrounding the Pixel 8a suggest it may sport a 120Hz panel and retain the same camera setup as the previous year, including a 64-megapixel main camera and a 13-megapixel ultrawide unit on the back. It is expected to come with Android 14 pre-installed but will be upgradeable to Android 15. The official announcement and release of the Pixel 8a are anticipated during the Google I/O event on May 14 and 15.




The leaked image of the Pixel 8a offers a glimpse into its design and color choices, with the Mint color being a standout option among the familiar ones for Pixel users. The bezels on the front are not as thin as some may have expected, and the phone features a traditional layout of physical keys. The leak originated from Evan Blass, a prominent tech tipster, who shared a screenshot of the phone on the US Cellular website.




The Pixel 8a is expected to be available in various colors, each with a unique name assigned by Google, catering to Pixel users with its recognizable design features. The upcoming launch at Google I/O 2024 suggests potential new hardware and software enhancements, with the phone likely to be officially announced and released in the near future. The leaked details provide a sneak peek into what Google's upcoming mid-range smartphone could offer.
